Want to WIN? Well, lie. Apparently.

Nation Divided ROMNEY WINS DEBATE! All republicans REJOICE! Democrats and Pundits angry at President Obama because he didn't call Romney OUT! All is lost in this campaign!

Yeah, a bit dramatic, right? So, how did Romney win? Well, he was energetic, he was vocal, and he lied like he has never lied before, well, actually, he lied like he usually does. In fact, he has over 25 lies documented in his first presidential debate, and no one seems to care that facts where not on Romney side. They only care about that Romney was vibrant. Vibrant lies, well, they are key to VICTORY! As most of us were taught growing up, if you want to win, you must lie and cheat, and do it with PASSION. That is how you succeed, right? Lately, the media and the American people have baffled me. It appears that instead of actually listening everything was based off of visuals. Sure, President Obama didn't exactly call Romney out on his lies, and that doesn't seem like a great method to win debates, but was it a part of something bigger that the President has planned? For example, Romney was given a chance to be honest and give his plan a thorough walkthrough. Instead, it was an hour and a half of lies. Not exactly something a candidate should be put on a pedal stool for, yet, it happened last night. Did anyone think Romeny would tell nothing but truths? Of course not, not in the slightest, but never did I think that Romney would do nothing BUT lying. It was an amazing barrage of misleading facts, lies and flat out disrespect. Let's take a look at some of Romney's lies:



  1. Romney says Obama Will cut 716 billion from Medicare: LIE Check FACTS
  2. Romney: "In one year, you provided $90 billion in tax breaks to green energy."LIE Check FACTS
  3. Obama, Romney claims, "The president's put it in place as much public debt - almost as much debt held by the public as all prior presidents combined." LIE Check FACTS
  4. On Obamacare, "...look at Obamacare, the Congressional Budget Office has said it will cost $2,500 a year more than traditional insurance. So it's adding to cost." LIE Check FACTS
  5. Romney claims: "That's why the National Federation of Independent Businesses said your plan will kill 700,000 jobs. I don't want to kill jobs in this environment." LIE

  6. Romney: I will lower taxes on middle-income families. Now, you cite a study. There are six other studies that looked at the study you describe and say it's completely wrong. LIE Check FACTS
  7. Romney Claims: "Preexisting conditions are covered under my plan" LIE Check FACTS


So, as we can see, this is just a fraction of the numerous lies Romney has been using to convince (sadly) the American people, especially his followers. So why is this ok? Why is it okay for the media and even democrats to allow Romney to LIE in order to win? Is this what has become of the American Political system? When Bush lied to us, we still allowed him power, where did that get the American People? To higher prosperity? Are the American people really wanting another Bush-like era? Can we, the American People, AFFORD this? No, we cannot. We also cannot allow lies and misinformation be the grounds for someone winning a debate. That is not how a debate works. It is not about who can tell the quickest lies in the least amount of time. Debates are about FACTS. TRUTH. JUSTICE - and that is the AMERICAN WAY. Somewhere down the line, we forgot that.
